Every year it snows in February but people don’t believe me! Maybe it’s the fact that January weather gets so mild or that we always associate snow with December. But the bottom line is that it will 100% snow in February and I wanted to do something to bring attention to this so that people know about the Seattle snow.

How winners chosen?
- the winner(s) will be selected by first closest to without passing if someone doesn't guess the correct date (ex: if it snows Feb 5th, winner will be whoever picked 6th not 4th). If multiple people select the same date, the money will be evenly split among the winners
-
How will we know who the winner is?
- Before February I will make public a Calendar with all the participants and you can see who’s betting on which date
-
What if there’s multiple winners?
- Then I’ll give multiple people $5 lol
-
You go by E-Ma?
- Yes, but you can always call me Ethan if you’d prefer
-
Isn’t this a little much for something no one cares about?
-
How can I get continuous updates on what’s going on?
-
Are you allowed to share this?
- Yes absolutely! Just please notify me about additional people
-
What happens if no one wins(ex: it snows on the 28th but the latest pick is the 25th):
- The winner is then the last picked date
-
Do I think it will snow in February?
-
Why January 17th?
- according to chaos theory, it’s basically impossible to predict weather 14 days out
-
What determines if it’s snowing?
- The date will be determined by Weather Spark due to their logging of historic weather data (this also means that the location that determines the snow day will be Sea-Tac Airport)
-
Why am I moving away from it being a bet?
- I thought the idea of winning money would make it more fun for people but it seems to have turned many way from it. This is probably more approachable
